Question on some of the graphical effects

Ok, this is very trivial...

Anyways I'm still playing Act I and for much of the game-play and cut scenes (have just met up with Meryl now) there are, what I can only describe as 'floating particles of dust', everywhere. I do get why there would be dust and dirt in the air at ground zero in the midst of war, but I also see this effect in some of the indoor areas as well - maybe it's just that the building is gonna fall down!

Only really raising it here because I didn't notice it in any of the trailers/teasers. Is there something up with my PS3? I can't see how that could be the case tbh as the effect does look deliberate so hopefully I'm just being paranoid here!

Re: Question on some of the graphical effects

It's just particles of dust. They are there to give a less sterile and more realistic look to the scene. You even get them in your own house so i'd have thought that they would be pretty prevalent inside a beat up building in a war zone.

Re: Question on some of the graphical effects

You know what dust is like - its gets everywhere...

Spoiler

Later in Act 4 when it's snowing, you get frost in the edges of the screen.

It just all adds up to making the game more immersive.

I've tried shaking the controller and the controller sticks to see if you can shake off the dust. It didn't work for me though.

Also, spoiler....
You also get snowflakes landing on the screen/camera lens as well, not to mention water droplets and spays of blood at certain times. They are just some of the little touches that make this game what it is.

Re: Question on some of the graphical effects

In a related particle effect SPOILER (minor, early in Act 1) you can see flies buzzing around a light in the background when you meet Drebin. I almost didn't notice them at first
