You have the same IKEA unit thing as me. :D

Question: Why do you have your left and right speakers so close? If you put them further apart you can hear the difference more easily. The way you have it now is silly. :(

Yeah the Oppli is a great piece of kit...

I dis-agree about your speaker comments though, i had them on the floor and furthur apart before and it didnt really work to well, i find that since they are ear level and almost a perfect box with my rears they all work a treat.... that being said, i need to upgrade soon (not that it has any bearing on this convo;))

just had a look and it seems your right, that sucks cos it surely has to be a best seller, in fact i think there is thread doing the rounds somewhere called "get your oppli's out for the lads!" :thumbsdow

If you have a look at the sellers forums though i have seen a few in there before...

Re: Moopermans Setup

I don't mean insanely far away from your ears, but I would keep at LEAST a meter either side of the TV, and place them at the level they are now, or higher.

If your system is any good (it doesn't look like a pro setup but it should have an option to do this - mine does), you should be able to ajust the distance from the speakers, so the amp will set them slightly louder. For example, my setup has the rear speakers extremely far back, so I have them set quite loud. :)

Re: Moopermans Setup

nah it was a fairly medium system when i first bought it years ago, i can adjust the speaker timing and all that kinda stuff, but having had this for years and experimented loads i find this works a treat.... i guess your just gonna have to trust me.... ;)

ok ive just moved to a new place and although the flat is similar i have layed it all out very differently so now i'm not sure how to place the speakers...

Aha, I have that "media bench" too. If you don't mind me asking, what size screen have you got sitting on it? I'm awaiting the arrival of a Panny 42PX700 and was wondering if the bench would be big enough to house it.
Cool set up btw and nice to see a Leicester lad on the boards
