Just finished off my upgrade to HD thought I'd post a few piccies

This is the front of the room and where the screen drops down in front of

like this (its a 7ft screen, room is 8ft wide)

To the left we have the sub woofer left speaker on top of which is the Japanese imported Alien Head. On top of the sub woof is the Galen Head from planet of the apes definative collection.

To the right we have my linux media server which also runs my security camera system. On top of the right speaker is the I Robot head

This is a piccie of the linux server (yeah I know its just a box )

running down the left wall are my CDs and Games. On top are the various Lords of the Rings and other box sets -ET, Star Trek Videos () Hammer House Monster Legacy etc

The left side rear speakers

Right wall showing my film cells from the warner brother special edition sets

behind the sofa on the left hand side is the equiment rack

This consists of the Onkyo 905 amp, Pioneer DV600 SACD, DVD-Audio and 1080p upscaling player, Tosh EP35 HD-DVD, PS3, XBOX 360, and Pioneer CLD925 Laserdisc player

I have a 240v dimmable light fitting (IR controllable)

At the rear of the room is my disc collection

this is a small selection, and if you look in the 3rd shelf down you can see that there are two layers of discs I have about 1100 dvds with about 55 hd discs now.

this shows the full dvd collection and the JVC HD-1 projector mounted on the ceiling

here are a couple of (imo crap) piccies of some images. The first of batman was taken during the day. There is a red line down the right side where the sun still gets through the windows as the blackout blind doesnt quite cover the whole window Its more noticeable in this picture - in real life you get used to it.

The 2nd picture is at night in ideal viewing conditions as is from king kong. Forgot to do a blu-ray one.

Thanks, I've been building the collection for a good 10 years although far too many double dips The laserdiscs are under the center speaker too - only place I have room

Still need to tidy the cabling up, but now that its all in and working I can get that all sorted. I have a few pictures to put up too (Framed signed Stargate posters)

And I need to refill the beer fridge too

And I've now noticed all the film cels need straightning - bloody Earthquake!

Nice setup and great DVD collection. I love the movie odds and sods. Thanx for making my cables look tidy, Mrs Rig is always at me to tidy mine up I'm in the process of deciding what setup to have for my livingroom but will need to makes sure my cables are hidden before I get the go ahead.

At least I got the speaker cables in trunking

I think its great. We actually use the you tube facility more than I thought we would. Even the wife can use it!

I have a few films on it for the wife and a few TV episodes as we dont have a dvd player under the telly, and I've got some HD podcasts on (hubblecast, beautiful places etc) and we also have our photos on there - you cant beat a 42" photo frame
