I've invested in some new digital-cables (optic) and after weeks of adjusting the whole set up, it now really shines. I really enjoy the clearness of the dynamic and open Cascade-speakers, and the processor in the 3805 is quite impressive. Roger Waters's Amused To Death is pure pleasure in 5-channel stereo, where the effect and samples on the album surrounds you. In the beginning of "Perfect Sense pt.1" I feel like I'm out in open range while the clouds thunders above me and fades away to the left. Amazing album!
I think I've watched the first scene of "StarWars:Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith" a hundred times the last couple of weeks when I've been adjusting the set up, trying to get the most out of it. This is relly a great scene to test your set up. The surround speakers and sub gets busy here.
I'm really looking forward to getting the second XTZ-sub. I think this will do a whole lot with both the overall design and sound.
I've used the Digital Video Essentials in the past to calibrate my plasma with very good results, and a couple of days ago I once again put it in the DVD-player to get the most out of great Panasonic TH42PA30. I've used this DVD to calibrate some of my friends's plasmas and I'm now more used to how it really works. I got even better results now, especially in the darker regions. The black of the Panasonic have always been good, but now I got it even better.
I am so pleased with the set-up now that I just had to write about it.
Thanks for your time!
