build quality is not as good as ikea ones, but this perfectly matches and fits the place.

Looks very nice indeed. I have been looking at those cabinets for when I move house. What did you use for the lighting behind the cabinet?

Thanks CFS

It's very thin fluorescent lighting from B&Q.

cabinet is from argos (melbourne entertaintment unit x 2)
another cabinet recommendation is Ikea bonde sideboard. very good one, but looks better without legs. also you may not be able to fix the back panel as the width is just 40 cms.

Couldn't help but notice the Argos cabinet as I've been considering the same cabinet myself, but was wondering, do remote control signals work OK through the frosted glass doors?

I know it sounds like a daft question, but I'd hate to have to leave the doors open just because I want to change channels, adjust the volume, etc!

Thanks.

yes it does.

But if you have SKY HD box you may have to open doors for allowing heat to escape. I always kept the doors closed when i had SKY+ box, but HD box generates lot of heat.

suniil,
very nice setup btw,

Just a few questions,

Im going to go for the px600 but am torn between 37" and 42"?
I will be sitting a similar distance to what you do maybe 2ft closer. Would you reccomend 37 or 42 seeing as you have had both? do you notice any difference in SD picture quality?

Also, do you see much reflection on the screen during the day, as my setup is similar (windows behind the sofa, with vanishan blinds) not sure if i will need blackout blinds of dont you notice it that much??

Thanks

Now i regret that i should have gone for a 50" screen after upgrading to SKY HD. I use to go closer to get real HD experience

SD picture itself is much better on PX600 and worth going for 42".

Yes reflection is an issue, but not much viewing in daytime anyway. I'm planning to install custom-made blackout blinds closer to window, which can be used if needed.

ok thanks for the quick reply, think im gonna go for 42, dont wanna play safe with 37 and end up regretting it!

suppose i'll just see how i get on regarding reflection, mite just have to get blackout blinds or move the room setup about!
