My Current Bedroom Setup

NEW SETUP LATER ON IN THE THREAD

OLD SETUP

Just a quickie of my current bedroom setup

Setup consists of -

Sky+
Yamaha CDR-D651
Yamaha DVD-S540
Yamaha RX-V440RDS

Yamaha NSP-10 Speaker Setup (5.1)

Goodmans GTV42P4

Allen & Heath Xone:62 Professional DJ Mixer
2x Technics 1210 Turntables (Modified)
2x Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK3's

The only other fancy bits are 2x QED AV4110 Scart leads (Sky+, DVD) and a QED Qunex P75 Digital Co-Ax (DVD), all other leads are just standard phono leads with the exception of the Sky+ box being fed through an optical lead

Currently scouting new equipment to upgrade into the world of HD

given them the blue led kit out (power strobe, 33/45 buttons, pop up light) dual red/blue pitch led (red @ quartz, blue up and down the pitch scale) and finally declicked the pitch faders so that they ride smoothly past the quartz point

Nice set up dude, does your sub work with out vibrating the other components next to it?, apart from that one small reservation I'm impressed.

ive never had any problems from the sub, eventually the sub will be somewhere on the floor and that gap filled with a pc for using my serato dj software and having it linked through the g10

Nice.

Never sell your 1210s by the way, you'll regret it for the rest of your days

some pics of the setup with the newly added amp, re-routed modem and now the bd60 instead of the old yammy dvd player

also you can just see that the yammy cd recorder is still under the shelve sat ontop some records, if the amp wasnt quite as big, everything would of sat in the same compartment, but unfortunately its about a quarter inch too small

i havent really touched vinyl since the end of 2008, most people use cdj's now,and i have serato so i play off my laptop with either the timecoded cd's or vinyl's, but normally the cd format

i'd only regret it due to the amount of vinyl i have, if i didnt have so much i doubt i would, but on a side note, panasonic are stopping production on the 1210's as vinyl is now a dead format, so for now they are staying

ok so an update for 2011

invested in a la-z-boy recliner, this is the same as the cool chair (used in friends in the latter seasons) but without the fancy gimmicks in a dark brown leather, but looks black in the evening when it gets a bit dark in my room, picked up on ebay for £72 (£500/600 new)as the seller didnt know what he was selling

my sub died around 6 months ago , this led to an ebay purchase of the same sub in a bit of a tatty yet working state about a month ago, so swapped the amps round so i could have my nice condition one working again

invested in my 1st games console in a fair few years and 1 thing sold it to me, the HD remake of perfect dark, so that was it, i had to get an xbox 360

excuse the mess in some shots, only just recently had a room reshuffle in the past week and invested in a dedicated subwoofer cable along with another pair of banana plugs that was missing from the centre speaker

so heres the new layout

av kit

recently repaired sub in its new location

newly located dj desk and kit including a slimmer mixer along with all records now on the shelves due to av kit being relocated

the la-z-boy recliner

rear surrounds still the same

and of course whats required to browse this site, 1 of the 2 macbooks i own (2nd is purely for djing with) after ditching the windows laptop

that about sums it up for now, still looking into new speakers, possibly an av unit for the kit and films and wouldn't mind a harmony remote

well i just got the harmony remote set up, after most the day struggling with it and on the phone to logitech due to an incomplete firmware update, there CS was ok but i ended up sorting it all out on my own through reading their website and playing around with it

only got 3 activities on there for now, don't think i can do much more due to the kit i have

and yes the cables are a mess, need to invest in some trunking soonish, was easier on the eyes before in the old layout due to my decks/unit hiding most of it, but please, feel free to point out the niggles and help me improve my surroundings
