i like your setup ozim it looks seriously wicked. one thing i would like to ask you and

thats where do you have the bose speakers connected to? i thought that you

had to connect the speakers to the acoustimass module which i don't see in

your pictures do you think that you can explain how you set it up thanks in advance.

thanks for replying so quickly i thought that the end of the

speaker cables were rca type which plugged into the acoustimass module did you end up connecting them to the analogue input on your amp?

also what changes did you make in the amplifier to give you a very good sound and can you play the speakers at quite loud volumes without stressing them,

also how does the sub mesh with the bose speakers and is the diference really that apparent?

sorry for all the questions its just that i get very interested in seeing bose setups with different subwoofers used instead of the supplied one.

Re: My bose system -=OZIM=-

Sub is connected to amp directly >From RCA low level in sub >TO L&R out channels in pioneer amp)
Amplifier Lfe (SUBWOOFER)settings>off
Front speakers L&r set to Large>so signal from amp is sended to sub.
Sounds great on movies and music.,Satelites clear reproduces music even on full power ,but its very very loud.
All set also sounds nice on normal connection (standard)>lfe on and connected to lfe out in amp,but bass is too strong .(hard to set it right,>Bouncing! )
Bose satelites really rocks>i have small flat ,so sound is more than enough for me.
No worries to set max on amp...!!!

Re: My bose system -=OZIM=-

Bose speakers are generally about 0.5 - 1 ohm impedence when run without the Acoustimass Module. You can run the risk of damaging your system by NOT using the Bose bass module.

Just trying to help.

Re: My bose system -=OZIM=-

How do you know ,that impedance of bose jewel cubes is 1.5 2 ohms??
I read on other forums about 8 ohms ...check that please...
Anyway my amplifier have flexible speakers impedance adjustment.so no problem.
Thanks for advice...
You'r equipment is very impressive. i planning to change flat for a bigger house next year ,so your cinema room is my inspiration mate...

Ive been woking in this industry for 18 years (and am an electronics engineer). No AVR is stable down to 1 ohm unfortunately.
My advice is to run all the cubes through the Boss bass module as normal, but also use your other sub connected directly to the Pioneer anyway, that way you are guaranteed not to have any problems and still have the bass response you enjoy.
If your system suddenly stops working down the road at least you will know why now!!

Do you still have the Bose sub? It will at least make them easier to sell when you upgrade.

Thanks for your kind comments on my system.
