New setup - lounge

Hello,

I've browsed the forums for a while now and gained loads of good info, mainly for the setup for my new house. As a first time buyer there was lots of other things to buy so the setup isn't going to blow many members away, but it is exactly what we needed and I'm really pleased with it.

Spec...

Sony 40" LCD 1080p 100hz (KDL-40W5710)
Sony BDP-S363 Blu-ray Player
Sony RDR-HXD790 DVD Recorder
Sony HT-SF100 5.1 Surround Sound System
Sony PS2 (Still got some games to complete)
Nintendo Wii

Re: New setup - lounge

Thanks for the good comments. It's a million times better than anything I have had before. Haven't had a tv since we got the house keys back in July. It'll be good to kick back, relax and enjoy some films again

Nah they just provided a solution for all the things I wanted. It's pretty handy that all the components work off one remote.

Thanks everyone for the good feedback. A simple setup works well for me.

Re: New setup - lounge

Looking good. Bet you've missed not being able to watch all the new films out. Kind of jealous in a way though as you get to enjoy them all now without knowing whats coming!

Re: New setup - lounge

tommyh84 - the material is so comfy, you'll enjoy it when you have yours.

D4RK1 - The amount of films we need to catch up on is unreal. Plenty of time to catch up on them now, just need to watch the unseen ones we have before we get anymore.

Someone likes Sony

Great setup, clean, tidy, minimalist, just my style.

Can I ask where the stand is from?

Glad you like it. It's been a few months and many films since I set it up and I'm loving it.

For anyone interested in the tv unit here is the link below...

Nothing at all wrong with your set up .... some of the best set ups have been the simplest ones.... besides, it took me years to get all my gadgets .... and I'm still going (whenever I get the nod from SWMBO!!)... always something new ... always something better ... grass is always greener!

Just be careful, this av hobby is a killer on the wallet. Lol.
