Very cool table / Disc compartment.

Those speakers are gorgeous, I'd love some of the CM series. Have you tried them out with music much? If so, how are they?

I had my kit in the lounge before with our bedroom above. Back in January we had new floors put down in the bedroom and I took the opportunity to fill the joists with soundproof rockwool, and a soundproof underlay. Didnt work!

In the loft, with I had wooden floors down so I just put carpet down on top with lots of rockwool in the side walls and in the loft itself. My wife says it is not as noisy as the living room. With the room only 4m x 4.1m high volume isnt needed for great sound so I am well pleased.

Coffee table was the bargain of the lot! £69 in Ikea (Ramvik model) Very Very sturdy

To be honest, I personally think it is with music that they really come into their own. With a wide stage stereo mode on the pioneer amp they sound great, sub turned off!

Sanyo PLV-700. Got it because I couldnt centre the projector exactly centre due to the door and it has horizontal as well as vertical shift. Full HD pictures are stunning escpecially after calibration

Does the ceiling, being white, create any reflections that affect contrast or it it very minimal?

I was concerned about that before I got the projector but to be honest it doesnt bother me. The picture on the screen is so good and so big it grabs your attention. I did get more reflection off the pictures on the walls when I put them up but now I dont even notice it.

I may change the screen fabric in time to reduce reflections but to be honest we're splitting hairs now.

I got it in DFS on Sunday. Went to buy something completely differnent and say this one. It was bought by someone who hadnt room for it and so had to return so there was 300 quid of it and it was delivered within 2 days

Its their Espirit range, which I think they have discontinued.

The room looks very dark when the movie is on which mean that you are close to the "optimal" conditions, so to speak. The M1s look really nice as surround speakers and it seems that you have 2-3 more coupled with the Pioneer downstairs. How do these manage on their own?

yes the black out blind works a treat so the room is pitch dark

I have two M1's connected direct to the Kuro in the Lounge. They sound brilliant and certainly miles better than the TV speakers.

Thanks. It's good to hear that. Does the amplifer upstairs power them too?
I had in mind to start with an amp. and a couple of those at first and later on add more powerful fronts + sub.

No the TV powers them. No problem for it either. The amp is in the attic i.e. third storey
