My first real Setup.

Well after an early setup with marantz SR7200 and Mission M7's some years back and after a change of address that ment i had to downsize to some really poor Gale 40 series and then the breakdown of the Sr7200 i have almost got to where i want to be in my Cinema setup.

Here is a rundown of the kit i have now:

Sky HD, just for ESPN HD and the UFC, Gota love it
Sony BD-S550 had for a year now and still going strong
Trusty Xbox 360, just plays cod4/5 these days
Pioneer 1018AH Amp, decodes both the new Lossless codacs and a bargin price of £430 new almost a year ago

All this kit runs through an old but very good PD9700 Hitachi Plasma which has been calibrated buy me with the DVE disc and had to be done again after the sky dude changed the settings back to Dynamic Factory setting.

I have just taken delivery of a set of Cherry JBL L-series speakers (LC2 center-L820 L/R front and L810 surround) very robust looking things if not the most classy and tastfull, but there big heavy 40Kg LC2 and the others 20Kg a pop and can take a pasting from anything i will ever put through them

Altough they have tweeters not of the Silk kind they sound quite a bit more clear less shrill and harsh and very warm when driven with the Pioneer in comparison the the very edgey and harsh sound from the old gail stuff, and now there mounted im very happy.

Will also be taking delivery of a Monolith in January and best gift of all:

A brand new UE55B7000 Samsung LED set and i cant wait, may even hold out for the 8000 series then i will be finished untill a bit of kit dies.

Pics to follow did not have the camers lead handy.
