Our living room set up

Below are a few photos of our living room set up.
We have an Optoma HD80 projector with a 108" screen.
Yamaha HTR-5860 receiver, Klipsch F1 front, C1 centre, S1 surround speakers, Sub-10 subwoofer. Sony RDR-HXD870 DVD Recorder, Sky HD, Sony PS3, 4x2 matrix splitter and a Nevo Q50 remote.
In the process of adding a HTPC to the system for the DVD collection, music and to record TV. At the moment I am still reading posts, learning and am sure there will be questions to ask
We have a
Panasonic Viera TX32LZD80 LCD TV in our back room, and a 22" LCD in the bedroom all hooked up through the matrix to view Sky, DVD's and the PS3.
Thanks for looking and any coments welcome

Re: Our living room set up

very nice !!

have you thought about moving your centre speaker looks ignoring in front off that tv .also the left speaker looks like it needs to go a bit more to the wall so it matches the right speaker

Re: Our living room set up

The front speaker is not too bad there, just got used to it I guess. That TV (monitor really, as it does not have freeview or anything built in and will only play NTSC) only gets used for the PS3 when not using the projector.
Yes the speaker does need moving, my son must have knocked in to it and I did not notice.

I will change the date on the camera, did not even notice it...

Do you use your PJ for everyday TV use and only the monitor for PS3 then?

I have the same/similar PJ mate, but noticed you have no HDMI connected to it. But you have a Matrix splitter, so I guess its an old photo?

Re: Our living room set up

We use the projector most days and yes the monitor is mainly for the PS3. We have a Panasonic LCD in our back room that is probably used the most.

The connection on the back of the projector is DVI to HDMI from the matrix. I had this cable from my old projector and tried both this and the HDMI, and could not notice the difference in picture quality.

Re: Our living room set up

you gotta get the ps3 hooked up to the pj pronto!!!

nice set-up

ever consider a flatscreen on the wall so the pj screen can come down just in front to cover it?

well done with the ceiling mount - looks neat & tidy

Re: Our living room set up

The PS3 is hooked up to the projector through the matrix. It is very inpressive to play games on the big screen.
I had not thought about a flat screen behind the screen. I may think of moving the one from the unit onto the wall.
