Budget Bedroom Setup

Thought i might as well put up some pics of my budget set up in my room. Everything's been bought in the last year. A few things i wish i had waited and bought others (The surround sound) One of the first things i got as i just wanted a 5.1 setup, should have waited and went down the separates route so that will be one of the first things i upgrade.

It does the job for the size of the room and what i want it to do. Shame i don't have an xbox elite though to match the rest of the kit.

Pic of the Kit. Get's a bit toastie in there when i've been on Live for hours on end so if i have either the PS3, or 360 on for over an hour i play with the doors open. I'll probably cut bigger holes in the back for more ventilation when i move everything to hide all the wires when the trunking comes.

The view from my bed.

kit:

Toshiba 32 HD tv
Sky HD
Sony Dav DZ260 5.1 Surround sound
Xbox 360 + HD DVD Player

Re: Budget Bedroom Setup

I'm suprised you haven't had a problem with the HD box over heating in there, I would definately cut some bigger holes or even remove the entire back panel.

Looks good though, some trunking needed to hide the cables?

Rich.

Aye i've got trunking on the way to hide them, When that comes i'll be moving everything out the way so will cut some bigger holes. The HD box has been fine heat wise. It's just when the consoles are on it gets toasty. The HD box on by itself though has no problems.

Re: Budget Bedroom Setup

Very nice setup

I not long ago got a new A/V Unit which came with a similar back panel to yours with only small holes in it.
My PS3 and 360 literally started to roast and my unit doesnt even have doors at the front like yours .
I took the back panel off the unit completely and they've all been fine ever since

Re: Budget Bedroom Setup

Looks good mate.
If you didn't want massive holes then suppose you could always put in a couple of computer case fans. One for brining air in. One for taking it out.
