floating wall project with inset tv

hi guys

i know lots of you have been following my project on the forum, but it got moved to the diy section ,and as its near completion now i thought i would start a new post with the near finished pictures.

all that is left to do is put up the lighting trough saturday and to finish off the wall in the dining room which is the back of the floating wall ,and then last but not least put up the projector screen mounted on the floating wall.
we are not sure if we are going to box the screen in or leave it as it is yet.

link below to the original thread if you want to see the project from start to near finish,i will add more pictures once the lighting trough and screen are up :-)

Very nice! You've done a great job, having a lot of kit without it becoming overbearing. It all integrates nicely.

Again well done mate! I Don't know how you have lasted so long without getting the PJ screen up though! You must be a man of patience, unlike me!

Re: floating wall project with inset tv

really great job you've done there! no wires all over the place and the lighting behind really sets it off a treat.

I have enjoyed your thread on the floating wall. One thing you never concluded was how you solved the issue of mounting the projector screen. I would be grateful if you would consider reposting some pics of the final outcome. Was it boxed or not etc.

Very nice mate, ultra tidy too

Can i ask how you managed to hide the wires for the rear speakers? Did u just carve a channel out of the wall and then skim over them?

Looking nice.

I am too gearing up to a floating wall...

Can I ask why you choose not to make the bottom float? Was this to hide the wires going down under the floor?

I am considering a floating wall but making the bottom float also but haven't yet seen any pics. Is there a good reason not to do this?

Thanks!
