I use Name Mangler for all my bulk renames.

Re: Tag and Rename or anything else like it for the mac ?

Have a look for a little Java App named "Jtagger" Not as automated as Tag and Rename but has far more control for manipulating Tags. Being Java it's cross platform.

Once you get your head around the options for copying text between filenames and tags and adding/removing suffixes/prefixes etc.. it's pretty flexible.

won't scan and change a whole library of files but will happily do an album at a time.

Has a useful test changes button as well.

I use tagr.
I got it from here : Apple - Downloads - Audio - Tagr
It's pretty simple, but it get's the job done.

There are quite a few have a look on VersionTracker. I use Renamer4Mac but you can easily roll your own with Automator.

Although if its for MP3s then have a look over on Doug's Scripts.

Re: Tag and Rename or anything else like it for the mac ?

I got the latest version of darwine (1.1.21) from here, and it works!

Darwine builds for OS X

You can run Tag & Rename on Mac OS X perfectly now, without a copy of windows!

"Get tags from Amazon.com" works too!

SWEET!!!!!

This is so much faster than running Tag & Rename in VMware Fusion...

Re: Tag and Rename or anything else like it for the mac ?

I recently purchased Jaikoz audio tagger and it has been perfect so far. It uses the MusicBrainz database, which is extensive. I haven't been able to find album it hasn't been able to fully tag, including all artwork.

Welcome to the forum, and great first post

Just a Q or two.

I've never used any of these wine things before, but I managed to get Tag and Rename working.

Do I have to open the T&R.exe with Winehelper every time I use it, or does it install T&R anywhere on my Mac?

If I have to open the .exe file and 'install' it every time, does that mean that my trial effectively never runs out?

Does Darwine work with any windows program or just a certain type?
