Time Capsule nearly there, Just one more bit of help....

Hi Guys,
Cheers again for the help yesterday.
The final thing I need to do is add an airpot express to the network.
At present its hooked up to a stereo to wifi tunes from pro.
Last night I tried to add it to T/C and balls it up.
Should I reset the A/E when it is turned on then try to add it.
When I tried last night the T/C went and the M/B could only see the A/E.
If you guys could keep it A.B.C that would be great....
Thanks in advance..

Regards Mark...

Re: Time Capsule nearly there, Just one more bit of help....

Open Airport Utility

Select The AirPort Express

Choose Manual Setup

(Gets abit hazy now)

Go to the 3rd tab on the first page of the Airport, and choose to extend a wireless network

Select the Timecapsule network

Enter the Key

Click Update.

Re: Time Capsule nearly there, Just one more bit of help....

I had this problem a few months ago when my housemate got a TC and I had to add my Airport express to it. Here's what I did in the end:

- Turned wi-fi off on my Mac.

- Reset the Airport Express (used a paper clip to press the reset button in)

- Waited for lights to change then turned Wi-Fi on my Mac.

- Found the new network that had been created via the newly resetted Airport Express (it was named MACf2222 or something like that)

- Then opened the Airport Utility, and followed the steps there to extend my network.

I'd give the above post a go first, but I had loads of problems until I actually reset the Airport Express.

Cheers

Craig
