So can mine, but mine needs a special SIM card type thing that plugs into her works laptop?

How does she do this?

I think that's an extra layer of security. My wife's employer obviously isn't as secure as yours!

What does your wife do to connect to her employers network?

Does she have a VPN client in her PC?

No, nothing special at all. She just goes into Start, All programs, Accessories, Remote Networking. Then she inputs an IP address and enters her password and is logged into her firms system. She sees her work desktop and applications and files.

Judging by the lack of responses, maybe Macs are unable to do this!

Re: How to do remote networking

If I'm reading this correctly you just need a RDP client for the MAC, such as one of below:

Connect Across Platforms with Remote Desktop Connection | Mactopia

TSclientX - An alternative RDP Client for Mac OS X

CoRD: Remote Desktop for Mac OS X
