Replacement Battery for Macbook - Ebay?

The battery in my (very early model) white Macbook, is now lasting less than an hour between charges and the computer shuts down when apparently 26% charge remains!

A replacement battery from Apple is £120, but I have noticed a lot selling on eBay for a lot less, especially the non-branded ones. Obviously, I would avoid the really cheap ones from China, but there are a number of UK sellers listing them. Does anyone have any experience of non-branded batteries in Macs?
Would I be better off paying the extra for a genuine Apple one?

They can't be £120 I had one replaced last week in store under warranty and the pre-warranty cost was £65.

I wanted a second battery for my macbook black a while ago and i tried a cheapy chinese type one off ebay, it was rubbish to be honest

In the end i bought one of the official £100 Apple ones and it was much better. Turned out i didnt really use it as much as i thought i would tho, so i should get round to selling it really, but it definately held a better charge than the cheap one, which faded drastically after a couple of months' use
