Why are my icons migrating?

Anyone know why hard drive icons on the desktop should suddenly start rearranging themselves? They been fixed in the top right hand corner (by choice) as long as I've had the iMac. Very occasionally they've moved on a reboot but the past week they seem to developed wanderlust. Even when the iMac is in use they seem to suddenly rearrange themselves in the middle of the screen. Its happened to a couple of others too but its mostly the drive icons.

Any ideas why and how to stop it?

Sounds very odd! You could try removing the DS_Store files in your Desktop folder using Onyx, which will set that folder back to the default OS setting. It's in the Maintenance - Rebuild section, you can choose to run it on a single folder only. Then set it back to how you like it and see if it sticks.

OK done that - fingers crossed! It rearranged all the icons spread over twin monitors on to one - lucky I hadn't done this last week there were dozens there then.

Re: Why are my icons migrating?

OK it s just happened again and I think the culprit this time was Front Row. I accidentally switched it on then exited and the icons ended up in the centre of the screen again. Any ideas?
