Fake Apple In-Ear headphones

Just a warning!

I ordered a pair of New Apple In-ear 'phones from Amazon Marketplace from a seller called PODJUNKIE, at £49.99.

They are fake

The headphones do not have the screw in/out mesh protectors (and none were supplied).
The in-line remote is the same as that on the iPhone ear buds, rather than that for the In-Ear buds (with volume controls).
Aluminium audio canals shorter & different design.
Construction materials feel far cheaper (greasy plastic!)
Lettering on 'phones comes off with ease.

The packaging was a reasonable attempt, and a fair copy, athough fonts were a little less sharp, and the card/paper/documentation lacked quality.

I haven't bothered listening to them - such is my disgust!

If I didn't already have a pair to compare with, it could have been more easy to be duped.

Seller isn't acknowledging e-mails , so fingers crossed for a refund from Amazon; but please beware!

Re: Fake Apple In-Ear headphones

I noticed this when I had a couple of pairs of Sony sl ex 71's to sell.

I think mine were the only genuine pair on there.

Loads of negative feedback for these sellers, but Amazon just ignore the problem, and pocket the commision

Re: Fake Apple In-Ear headphones

Amazon were much better before marketplace was introduced.

I hardly buy anything from them anymore because I hate the way each search comes up with crappy fake marketplace stuff.

Re: Fake Apple In-Ear headphones

Disappointingly, these were advertised as the real thing!

I'll give trading standards a call; does anyone know if Apple are interested in this sort of thing?

Then a call to AmEx for a Chargeback.

Would imagine apple would love to hear from you. You may even blag a real pair for your trouble.

Re: Fake Apple In-Ear headphones

I'll drop them a line.

Already contacted Trading Standards.

Seller has refunded the money, and will "contact their supplier..."

Re: Fake Apple In-Ear headphones

Hope you get it sorted.

As much as I hate to say it, the fakes are probs better than the real ones, mine are direct from apple and the sound is fairly lowsy on them.
