The crowd gave a big boo when the officials finally took it off him - I think he wanted it as a keepsake.

Yeah I heard that too mate. Hopefully he'll get it back if he hasn't already. It's only a baton but to Bolt it's a piece of history.

Fantastic games and really looking forward to the closing ceremony, even more so when my new 65" TV arrives tomorrow (though it might not get here until as late as 8pm which is cutting it)!

He can always bid for it at some crazy inflated price on the London2012 auction website. There are all kinds of things on there with most going for thousands!

Yohan Blake ran an immense leg. He tore that track up. Wow oh wow. Surely future champion after Bolt retires

Agreed mate. Totally tore Gay apart.

I can see Bolt moving up to 400m and if that's the case I can't see anybody competing with Blake at 100/200m.

I know it's a daft and pointless thing to say, but given Blake's abilities despite being about a foot shorter than Bolt, I kept thinking during these games that if he was the same height as him he'd already be beating him.

I caught this as well and it was an amazing race. Not taking credit from Bolt, it was Blake that brought it back in the penultimate 100m. Even Michael Johnson said he wasn't happy with Tyson Gay running on the bend.

Split times for the Jamaicans Amazing stuff, Frater and Blake were solid.

Carter 10.1secs, Frater 9.0secs,, Blake 9.0secs, Bolt 8.8secs

I was very happy to see Blake get a gold after 2 silvers in the 100/200m.

Incredible race. USA were ahead until Blake v Gay and here just tore round that bend, amazing.

If Bolt does give up the 100m then the biggest shame for me personally is that there won't be any more world records for some time.
