Hi, as a council tax payer, can someone tell me the benefits of hosting the Olympic Games?

All I can see for myself personally are problems.

1.Cost, Londoners will be contributing to it.
Benefits for Mcdonalds, Coca Cola, Mastercard or Visa.

2.Traffic & Transport problems during the games
Benefits for Train drivers, yet again demanding more money. I'm a service engineer, so have to drive, while fat cat VIP Olympic officials get priority on the roads.

3.Staff (including admin) at my local hospital have been told they cannot book holidays during the Olympics, in case there is an "incident"
My partner & I usually take the grandchildren on holiday then, during the school holidays.

Have I missed anything?
