LBP offline Co-op?

Loving the game but I was wondering, is there any offline Co-op options or is it all online MP?

Most story line levels have co-op.
Just switch on another controller and another sack boy/girl will appear.

I was playing it at mates house last night. We had 3 people on one console. Only did first level or so though

wheres the cheapest place to get an extra controler?and does it have to be a dualshock 3?

good question - I am looking too.

PS3 controllers are very expensive IMO.

get a ps2 controller covertor can be picked up for a fiver on amazon.
