LG Viewty Smart contracts

Anyone know of any good Viewty Smart contracts out there? I've seen one with mobiles.co.uk for only £25 a month for 600mins/unlimited texts with half price line rental for 9mths but it's a 24mth contract. I'm a bit scared of getting tied to a 2 year contract - so am wondering if anyone has seen any decent 18mth contracts out there or of there might be another option?

Also, can anyone give any feedback on this phone? Is it a worthy alternative to an iPhone? (The poxy camera is the main thing that puts me off the iPhone)

Re: LG Viewty Smart contracts

I just picked this phone up on £27 a month unbranded on Orange from Phones4u. 400 mins unlimited text. 18 months with extra 8 gig card.

I looked and could have probably got it cheaper on line but i got it in the hand and no daft redemption times blah-de-blah. And was also worried about keeping my number. No probs with P4U

So well happy at the moment. Not had too much of a play with it yet though.

I have upgraded from the old viewty which i hated in the first 2 weeks but grew to love it.

Re: LG Viewty Smart contracts

Cheers Jed. I've been putting off getting this phone for a couple of days as I can't seem to find any decent feedback on it on the forums or in mags, etc.

Would be really grateful to hear any thoughts you have about it before I make my mind up...

I did look at these sites for some info.
Should you buy the LG Viewty Smart GC900? Read our LG Viewty Smart review plus LG Viewty Smart reviews by users and find the best buy in the UK (Free LG Viewty Smart / LG Viewty Smart pay as you go - 3, O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Three, Vodafone)
I don't take too much into the user reviews as some are pretty biasd but the initital review and people that can spell is a good start.

Here LG GC900 Viewty Smart preview: First look - GSMArena.com

After that i still have to play around with it but i don't usually use phones for email. So not sure what the standard is.

Volume and music player are great and i like phones loud for my type of work.
Camera is brilliant. Apart from the zoom which is just digital (I think)
Screen is awesome. The video's that come with the phone are jaw dropping everyone i show them too are "bloody hell that looks great"
Google maps worked after the horror stories of the Arena on orange branded phone.
I am pretty much chuffed with it at the mo.
Charged it thursday night with 3 bars showing. today at this time still has 2 bars after playing videos/music and genrally getting used to the new layout.

Hope this helps.

Jed.
