Hi Guys, in the next week my contract with orange runs out, and I'm 99% sure that i'll be getting a new Iphone. But I'm not impressed with the Camera on the Iphone, so I would like to keep my viewty as a Camera.
I've tried to use the Viewty without a Sim, but it wont play ball.

Does anyone know if I could just use an out of use Sim card, rather than have to use a Payg sim, and keep adding funds to it.

I'm trying to dig around to find a Non Active Sim at the mo to try this.

As I dont have a digicam that has a camera as good as the Viewty.

Don't orange offer a PAYG sim for free? I know 3 do as my son has one with no credit on it that we use to call him, no need to keep it topped up either.

I'm not sure, I'll look into it. From memory though, any card i've had as Payg, have had to be topped up from time to time.

Perhaps i'll top up a fiver, and not use it.

request free sim, and they will send you two. best thing is you can use skype fro free, so as long as ur mates on or running skype, then free calls for life. I use it on my viewty and keep it running on the background, that way i have normal and skype phine in one..! I also tell my friends to keep skype running in the background as well, and i can see who is online any time..!

I'm using one now and talking to my nephew on his iphone who is also using skype. 3 do not charge for the bandwidth used for skype calls..!
