First of all I would like to say "thank you" to all who posted their problems und solutions.

This is my one:
I've got neither a PDA nor a handy with remote control. So I searched in the internet and found a way to enter service menu with universal remote control. I read this in an italien and german forum. I used a thomson roc 4206 - also works with 4207 - enter the code 0119 and then pressed the buttons "setup" and then "-/--". I entered the password 0000 and enable the video playing option. Btw, the latest firmaware 3.10 is installed!

You can also use other universal remote controls for entering the service menu, but u have enter another code which is described in the german forum.

Hi every body, and excuse if you dont understand my poor english.
I have the LG M2362D-PM, i think it is the Version for Mexico...so, how can i play videos in this LCD?.
I tried pressing and Holding the buttons MENU (control+tv) and a hidden menu appears, but it dont have any option to UNLOCK the USB MODE.
What can i do?

PD: The usb port of the LCD "says" SERVICE ONLY.
PD2: How can I upgrade the firmware?

Hello jpan,
Downloaded remocon codebase but the buttons does not seem to work. I used Novii Remote with my tv (learned from original remote), I entered service menu at some point using irda hack with a symbian iremote.

So it seems it is a problem related to the remocon codebase. Can someone confirm it worked for them? The tv is 32LH5000, fw 3.63.

it seems the remocon works just on this model. I am trying to find a way to make it work for TV LH series. Can you give a link or share somehow how to edit a .pdb file for novii remote? Thank you!

I tried Remocon Final 2010, but its not working with LG 32LH3000. I could program the PDA with the remote control, its working fine, I can control the TV from PDA, but the Remocon profile did not do anything.
I know, check the instuctions, but it doesnt contain anything new.

Any idea?

Also work on 22LH2000-ZA ..... the divx activation icon but the in the service menu don't find the PMM activation, it was another line , something named tool 3.... and I activated dvix > hd ....

Also is it advisable to turn 'Software Update' off to ensure new firmware is not installed which may stop my access to the service menu?

Yesterday bought a Meliconi Fully8 remote control for 7 euros. Usage step by step:
1. Press TV button for a few seconds (red LED will blinking continuously)
2. Type 1286 (LED will blink 3 times, that means you programed it succesfully)
3. Press TV and OK at the same time for 5 seconds
4. Type 255
5. You will be asked for code, type 0000.

And you are in the service menu. It worked with M237WDP and 32LH3000.

Download the sofware for nokia E51 (Psiloc_irRemote) from Internet.

Get the attach file OK_e51.zip, wich contains the Database file of Service Menu and EZ_adjust and Install using instructions.

1)Use the Number 2 on Nokia e51 for access the EZ Adjust Menu on LG. Try sometimes to press number 2, can not work at first time depending on you position and distance from the LG monitor.

2) insert code 0000

3) Go to the tool option Menu

4) Go to Media Player

5) Change the Value EMF-PM to EMF-PMM.

6) Get out of menu. If don't know how, just wait a few seconds.

Now you can whatch DIVX.

Note: Number 1 in nokia remote software is used to acess the service Menu.

Note: Don't Change anything else , because you can break your Monitor.

Followed Pauls details and now watching divx films via usb on a m2262d ,v3.13.0

worked with my nokia n95, unlocked a M2262D PC, using 7 day iremote trial software, OK_e51 x-plore 1.45 ,and selecting mode 1

took 20 mins to download and sort , Then 1 hour to get the number 2 to work ..... to access the password .... little trick did it ....

I have a M2262 with firmware 3.14 I tested all combinations with remote controls and Nokia Phones I couldn't access to the service meu.

I haved donloaded from LG the 3.10 firmware and I see here that with this firmware works.

Anyone can say me how to make de downgrade? The 7*FAV don't work.

I'm attaching a file with a method I found to downgrade the firmware of an M2362D with 3.14.

Already passed it in another forum to a couple of guys, who have not yet suceeded (it involves patching the 3.10 firmware so...beware!).

Try it at your own risk.

If you have lost the video it might be because the number you entered is not correct for your TV. Did you took the precaution or writing down the number that was there before you modified it? If yes, putting back that number (if you can do it blindly) should restore the video. If not, assuming your TV is an M2262D, best bet is it would have been 4813 (other numbers to try, but less likely, are 21197, 37581,53965).

If you can recover it, and still have the spirit to try again, please notice that firmware 3.14 does not allow enabling DIVX. You need to downgrade to 3.10 (not straightforward, I posted instructions yesterday), and then apply the method already known using the service menu (by the way, with 3.10 you don't need to enter eny number, just select EMF-PMM in the service menu, using the arrow keys of the remote).

I second that!

Received my M2362D-PC and had firmware 3.15 installed. Managed to access the service menu but no option to change the PMM part.

Then tried vsync method of downgrading the firmware to 3.10 and it worked a treat!!!

Now can play divx files from the video menu, well chuffed

I've got the m2262d - it came with v3.14 - in an attempt to downgrade to 3.10 I inadvertantly upgraded to 3.15 by mistake. I'm desperately trying to unlock the USB to play video.

I've go a Universal Remote which I can use to access the EZ ADJUST but I cant change the EM-PM to PMM.

I used the guide posted by vsync to downgrade but didn't know what I was exactly meant to change via the hex editor.

Is there any chance at all someone could assist me or send me a patched firmware v3.10 so I make this work?

Any help will be massively appreciated.

I bought a LG M227WDP (firmware 3.10) but when i try to change the media player option from EMF-PM to EMF-PMM it doesn't do anything (it simply doesn't change, it keeps saying EMF-PM). What am i doing wrong? I followed all directions (i can get into the service menu and the tool options).

The solution looks great, but I think Lg had a look on such a forum and it's not possible to get a 3.10 firmware. I tried different lg website (italy, france, spain poland, uk, etc.) but there is no link or only 3.15 firmware.
Is it possible to find somewhere this "old" firmware?

So, if someone could post a link to download this firmware, he will be welcomed!

I have a m2262d-pc model (firm 3.14) and I can't wait to downgrade (my EMF-PM menu is also locked )

And the last and lot least question: does all the mxx62d-xx model share the same firmware? Could I downgrade/upgrade with *any* kind of firmware?
