Could the owners of this TV post their settings? I just can't seem to get the skin tones right.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes - use hdmi2 and 3 instead, as the bug only affects hdmi1

Re: The Official LG PS7000 (Plasma) Thread

Hello,

there is much talking in the PS3000 thread about firmware upgrade (choosing PS6000 option to enable dvix playback). Is there a chance to upgrade or replace PS7000 with PS8000 firmware? (to enable PS700 missing THX option ) .
Recently there was a new PS8000 firmware update posted in a Danish site: PS8000 update
It has to do with the activation of DVB-C. But may be this is only for Denmark..
What do you think about this?

It's possible but there is no reason why you would want to. The THX preset is factory-calibrated - enabling it without that calibration data being set will just give you an incorrectly set preset that you can't adjust, in place of the normal cinema preset that you can.

Hi there! Yes you are right.
It was just a thought in the meaning of upgrading and... hacking...
Thanks!

When I had my 50PS7000 they came and exchanged the mainboard due to screen issues, and the one they gave was set as a 50PS8000. However, the THX preset was terrible and it is not possible to edit it, so although it was exciting at first, it soon became a letdown

Re: The Official LG PS7000 (Plasma) Thread

We are happy to announce that the PS7000 won the Best Buy and Best Value at the What Video & Hi-Def TV Awards recently.

The 50PS7000 won the ‘Best Value TV of 2009’ award. The review includes a wealth of compliments on the TV including: "The features on offer are astonishing considering the price." The images are referred to as "being cleaner and more believable" and the detail in dark areas as "admirable." It comments on the "richness" of the colours, which "you won't find on most liquid crystal screens” and on the motion which “is free from blur.”

The review concludes: "Best of all, the built-in speakers are among the very best around".

Unhappy Re: The Official LG PS7000 (Plasma) Thread

I bought an LG 60PS7000 in June this year, at first very pleased with the set, however, after a couple of months, it developed a strange fault that has got steadily worse. The bottom half of the screen goes black, and the only way to clear this is by restarting the TV. I have contacted the online retailer I bought it from, and LG directly, who tell me that it needs a new screen, and that they have to take it away for repair. Has anyone else had a problem with this TV, or am I just unlucky?
