Best 37" lcd for under £800?
I had planned on finding a Panasonic TX-37LZD85 for under £800 but they are very scarce , so having to look elsewhere for similar model.
Must be 1080p full HD
Ideally 100hz for gaming
Lcd not plasma
Budget £800 max
any ideas guys?
i appreciate your comments

Re: Best 37" lcd for under £800?
I doubt the Samsung will be superior to the Panasonic in most areas, the G10 looks very good indeed - PANASONIC TXL37G10 37 INCH LCD TV - Massive Discount TXL37G10B : 1staudiovisual TVs that's the cheapest I can find it at the moment apart from this place (out of stock at the moment) but I've never heard of them before so read up on them if you decide to go for it - Product List Page Viera TX-L37G10E
There's a review of the G10 here - Panasonic Viera TX-L37G10 Full Review, Television Reviews on CNET UK looks like the HD image is very good with decent contrast, very good motion (as with other Panasonics) and wide viewing angles, it says that SD feeds suffers a bit though, but that's the case on many 1080p sets. And another here - Panasonic Viera TX-L37G10 37in LCD TV Review - TV Reviews - TrustedReviews which says that black levels aren't very good (right after saying they're very acceptable!) and sound is average which may or may not be as true to life as made out (sound seems to be a grey area among reviews)

And a review for the 32G10.
Panasonic TX-L32G10/TX-L32G10B Review: 32" Freesat LCD TV
Very good tv but certainly nothing hot
I d personally narrow down to the sony/samsung

Re: Best 37" lcd for under £800?
Think i'm going to go with Samsung LE37B650, just found it for £610 at PRC, good price??
does the 37" version still come with all the widget functions, like the 40" version? and is all that just a gimmick ?
apologies, i just rechecked on PRC website, the LE37B550 is £610, the B650 is £746! Thought the offer was a good one...

Many thanks for any comment.

Re: Best 37" lcd for under £800?
The Sony's are particularly weak at 37" when compared to the Panasonic 37G10 which has better colours/blacks/viewing angles and for those that want it, a 10-bit panel rather than an 8-bit panel.

I'd also recommend going for Panasonic for the 37" sets, 32" comparisons come up differently but at 37" the Panasonics have the edge in my opinion

Re: Best 37" lcd for under £800?
Im going to be buying a TV in the next few days and still havent decided between:
Panasonic TX-L37G10 - £699
Samsung LE37B550 - £569
Samsung LE40B550 - £669
Does anyone have any advice on which one to go for out of these three? I understand that Samsung uses inferior panels in its 37" displays but will it be noticable enough for me to spend the extra ~£100 to get either the 40" or the Panasonic?

Re: Best 37" lcd for under £800?
between those G10 clearly beats the other two.the B550 is the same as last years A558 which is not up on par with the new offerings. If not 37G10 the 37V5500 is worthy of consideration as well
