Please help me decide

Hi all , Been wanting to buy a tv for a few weeks now , but im totally confused as what to buy

I want a 4oinch LCD 1080p with 3/4 hdmis
I am going to be using it to Watch sky sd & Hd
Network meida tank Streaming hd
And a bit of xbox 360 Gaming

I was in Currys watching eurosport Hd on a Samsung 656 40" and the bluring/jerking was awfull

Can Anyone please Recommend me a 37-40" sub £1000 (1080p Wtih 3/4 hdmi Preferably) That does not have probelms with fast moving images?

What is the sony 40W4000 or the 40W4500 like for sport/fast moving stuff?

If not im going to have to go the plasma route.

TIA

Re: Please help me decide

Be SO careful "I was in Currys watching eurosport Hd" even though the program you were watching was on Eurosport Hd that is not to say it was HD, you need to press the "info" button and check for "HD" in that broadcast.
It is the same for Ch4 HD and a lot of others. I think it is only BBC HD that is HD all the way and that is why it does not follow the normal BBC schedules. Reading other posts a lot of people find that the Samsung's picture motion settings are better switched off.
P.S. I am not a fan of Samsung but they do make good sets.

Re: Please help me decide

do you think I should stick with plasma for all round gaming/tv veiwing ?

Does the Sony 40W4000 or the 40W4500 suffer from bluring or jerking ?

Both W4000 and W4500 are good tvs for gaming/Bluray/HD

read this:

Sony KDL40W4000 Review: 40" Bravia 1080p LCD HDTV Panel

Sony KDL40W4500 / KDL40W4500U Review

IMO w4500 is better for football cause having 100Hz Motionflow technology.

Btw i rang my loclaricher sounds who dont have any 4500 in stock .

He then went on to push the samsung 40in 686 saying that they are the same panels as in the sony anyway.

same TVs? no! but they use the same Samsung's S-PVA panel which is the best panel on the market.

In Croatia Samsung 40A656 is much cheaper than Sony 40W4500, so in my country is momentarily best buy 40" LCD tv set! A686 should be as good.

my advice: go for it!

and if you don't trust me, check this out: Samsung A686 Series
