Sony 40V4000 v Samsung LE40A656A

Hello,
I'm looking to buy a tv and have narrowed my search down the two tv's above, have around €800-900 to spend.

I will be using the tv for mainly Standard ntl tv and also i have one of those starview digi boxes (mainly watching the football and movies) and was wondering does anyone know what kind of picture i will get will also be playing my xbox360 on it.

I may switch the samsung to the 37" depending on prices but i don't know if there will be much difference between these sets.

Any help greatly appreciated as you can see i have a lot to learn.

Re: Sony 40V4000 v Samsung LE40A656A

You can find the test of both television
40V4000

LE40A656

Both are very good television, the Sammy have a good point with 100Hz motion treatment, but have problems of lags with ps3/xbox and some problems with the 24hz on blurays (which can be resolve with a firmware update).

The 40V4000 is a very good television even without 100 hz and 10bit panel. Very similar to the 40W4000 which is one of the best tv of the year.

The test are very precise so you can make your choice.

And if you ask me, i would recommend the 40V4000, the best is to ask questions about pros and cons of the tv on both topic (each one has a specific thread on this forum)

Re: Sony 40V4000 v Samsung LE40A656A

It's always subjective, but on standard television I preferred the V4000. on Hi Def I preferred the A656.
