Just out of interest, on the Samsung Website, the LE46A656 shows as HD Ready 1080p, what exactly do they mean by this? I thought that all 1080p TV's were labelled Full HD 1080p?
I am quite worried that what I have is not a proper full hd set now |

Hey guys ive got a media streamer for this tv, when i turn on my samsung dvd player that is connected to the tv it automatically switches to dvd player and to that hdmi channel. However when i turn on media streamer nothing happens i have to go manually into the menu on the remote then find connections area and select hdmi 2 which is where its connected.
Is there any easier way to do this? Its nice with my dvd player as i just select power with the remote and it automatically switches and sets it up but the media streamer is kinda annoying to do each time.

I have my PS3 set to output at 24hz and the TV's motion enhancer is set to off, is this right?

I forgot to mention that the other night I was watching Revenge of the Sith with my lad for the first time on our new LE46A656 using my PS3 (1080p) and I noticed in several places that there were jaggies present which I had not seen before (the overhead shot of the table vader is lying on is a good example, there are diagonal grooves in the table either side of him that suffered from the jaggies)
I then realised that I had previously been using my HD-E1 (1080i) to view this film so I tried it out and there were no jaggies, is this something to do with the A656?
It just seems strange that the problem doesn't manifest itself on 1080i but does on 1080p???

Just got the 40" a few hours ago Im satisfied so far. Havent tested the tv thoroughly yet. Analog freeview looks much better than anticipated right out of the box. Better than my friends m87 does, and he has the digital channels. Played some smash bros brawl and its all good. Turned of 100hz because it had a wierd impact on the gaming. IT made the game feel floatier and slower, like they were in space. The only complaint i have thus far is a bit backlight bleeding on the bottom center and upper right corner, though the backlight was at 7 to be fair. Thats also my question to you, fellow a656 owners, did you experience any backlight bleed on the tv, and is there a way to reduce it, besides turning down backlight?

I have the Samsung BD-P2500 hooked up to HDMI1 on my 40A616 - all four (LOL) of my blu-rays play at 24Hz automatically and look fantastic. I have to say, even DVDs played through this player look fantastic too (50Hz).

I am quite worried that what I have is not a proper full hd set now | Nothing to worry about. It's marketing jargon. If the TV is 1080P then it is Full HD . Another way to tell if a TV is Full HD is to look at the screen resolution. If it is quoted as 1920x1080 then it is 1080P = Full HD. Else it will be 13??x768 (forget the exact numbers) which is 720P = HD Ready.

Previous post probably bit to detailed.
How do i set the tv to auto switch to different hdmi when i turn something on.
For example im watching tv then i turn on what ever is connected via hdmi and have it auto switch to that channel so i can watch straight away? Any simple way to do this?
Thanks

Thanks | Yeah, I would like to know the answer (if any) too! My setup will change automatically to HDMI1 when watching a DVD/Blu-Ray (Samsung player), but HDMI2 (X360) will not auto-switch

Thanks | Switch on Anynet/cec on the TV and HDMI control to on, on the equipment you've connected.
When you play a DVD/Blu-Ray, the TV will switch on.
When you switch the TV off, the connected device will also switch off.

I've found watching them in 60hz gives smoother playback than 24hz, as with 24hz you seem to notice the odd hiccup every know and again.
