Sitting between 8 and 13 feet away - what screen size?

I have two prime viewing areas in my lounge

one at 8 ft an the other 13ft. What screen size would be best? I wil be watching a mixture of broadcast SD/HD, but I am a film buff and like to watch blu rays and some SD DVDs

Hi

IMO for 8 feet you need 40 - 42" LCD TV. For 13 feet you need a big boy - at least 52" plasma.

Sit at 8" for the HD and 13" for the SD (though might just still be a tiny bit blocky).

as big as you feel like..its you who are watching it,ignore the size charts et al, and see how you feel.
however they do say bigger is better.!
