Settings for Samsung LE19R86BDX/XEU

I've just bought the Samsung LE19R86BDX/XEU 19" LCD TV for my daughter for Christmas.

Can anyone recommend any picture settings for when i tune it in?

Cheers.

Got one myself... Can't get to it at the moment but will post on here when I get chance.

A big improvement was turning the Sharpness down to about 35.

Re: Settings for Samsung LE19R86BDX/XEU

Had a quick flick through a previous thread I had on this great site and here are some of my settings for the DTV Freeview:-

Mode - Movie
Contrast - 84
Brightness - 53
Sharpness - 38
Colour - 45
Tint: 55/45
Colour Tone - Cool 1
Back Light - 6 or 7
Digital NR - Off
Size - Auto Wide
Screen Mode - Wide

Detailed Settings:-
Black Adjust - Off
Dynamic Contrast - Off
Edge Enhancement - Off
Colour Space - Wide
White Balance & My Colour Control - Default
Gamma - 0

Energy Saving - Low

Whe I got my set, I also ordered one for the inlaws as well. Mines in the bedroom but there's is in the kitchen. Due to different lighting, both sets use lightly different settings but if you use these you probably won't be far off. These are just set by eye to suit my taste but you can just tweak to suit your own taste.

There was a tweak as well for sound but I can't remember what that was off hand.

Re: Settings for Samsung LE19R86BDX/XEU

Pretty sure it just means what country it's meant for.... Different countries would have different endings.
