Sitting between 8 and 13 feet away - what screen size?

I have two prime viewing areas in my lounge one at 8 ft an the other 13ft. What screen size would be best? I wil be watching a mixture of broadcast SD/HD, but I am a film buff and like to watch blu rays and some SD DVDs

Hi

IMO for 8 feet you need 40 - 42" LCD TV. For 13 feet you need a big boy - at least 52" plasma.

46".

Sit at 8" for the HD and 13" for the SD (though might just still be a tiny bit blocky).
