hello all
i am a newbee here and first time buying LCD, your threads are very usefull. am confused between these 2 models now after 3 mnths of research n ur threads..just worried about sony clouding n backlight bleed otherwise e1 love sony here...i dont want any fuss after i buy the tv...all i want is superb picture for sd and hd, not a frequent gamer.both tvs got good reviews. now i am just too confused ...

I was like you - after months of research did not know what to choose.

In the end I made up my mind and chose the Samsung for picture quality and the large array of user settings. Never regretted it.

The choice is up to you!

Having seen both sets instore lately i would also go for the samsung,as a allround performer the sammy was a better set as for the sony the clouding let it down bigtime,also the sd seemed abit soft to me compared the the sammy and not forgetting the sammy been a cheaper set as well.

sony is giving 5 year warranty now a days which very good ,thats why i was a bit inclined . the person on shop said that the new 4500 batch does not have any clouding..i am not sure if he was right or just trying to persuade me
well still looking. might go on weekend to check again the tvs.

I went for the Samsung, you won't regret, especailly as you can get it for £949!
