The problem is that when I change the volume on the tv remote, somehow my freeview remote magically controlls the tv as well!! I was told that there is a firmware solution for this problem. Can anybody provide me with a download link for the firmware upgrade as well as information on how to apply the firmware upgrade.

Is that supposed to be a problem? I thought it was a good thing for a remote to recognise your tv and the freeview box...

There was a thread when I purchased my TV about this issue, which I also had. The firmware requires an additional piece of hardware, so needs to be sent to Acer to be done. Mine was fixed as it had to be returned for another problem.
