toshiba 32C3030D - best 32" HD LCD between £400 and £600?

Toshiba REGZA 32C3030D - i found this review, but it sounds too good to be true:

http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=64887

anyones have any experience with this TV, and can anyone recommend and other 32" LCD TVs in the same price bracket?

I think this may be the best one in its group based on that review, coupled with the fact that its the latest model. Thoughts please.

Re: toshiba 32C3030D - best 32" HD LCD between £400 and £600?

oh yeah and can anyone find the response time specs for it, and whether it is good for gaming or not? it claims to have 24fps processing - does that 24ms response time?

Also, Toshiba have another 32" from a 2006 range - Toshiba 32WLT68 that is priced at about £700. Surely that should go down in price now a newer (and presumably better) LCD tv has been released by Toshiba? Why is it so much more expensive than the 32C3030D in the review?

Thanks guys.

I'm also thinking seriously about this TV. I can't speak to how it is for gaming, but I did contact Toshiba and got the following info:

Quote:
All of our TVs (but not combination TVs with integrated VCR or DVD player) can accept both NTSC 3.58 and NTSC 4.43 signals.
Which is good news for people importing games consoles. This is probably less of an issue these days with people connecting by component or hdmi, but hey, you might have an old US SNES that you wanted to hook up!

The 32WLT68 is a better TV than the 32C3030D - it is 100Hz for a start.

The 32C3030D is really not that great... see review here for an alternative (and IMO more accurate) assessment.

If you can stretch to £600 I would recommend the Sharp LC32RD2E or LC37RD2E - both can be had for around £600-£650 from Empire Direct including 3 yr warranty. You may need to find a new 10% discount code though (there will be one somewhere!).

The hdtvtest review is odd IMO, they seem to say that the Samsung R87 is miles better in this individual review here http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/Samsung-LE32R87BDX/ (if you compair it to the review of the Tosh) but then they have a "3 telly shoot out" here http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/32-LCD-Shootout/ and in the conclusion say the Tosh only really falls behind the Sammy in terms of remote control, EPG & connectivity (Samsung has an additional HDMI port).

Just doesn't really seem to add up.
