Scan LTV-3203H anyone got one?

Just looking at the Scan LTV-3203H which is currently going for under £400 and seems to have all the inputs I need. Externally it looks a lot like the cheaper brands that the Currys/Dixon group are selling. Anyone seen one of these running?

Re: Scan LTV-3203H anyone got one?

I've never seen that TV before, the specs look good, but so did the Techno from Woolworths.... and they had their problems... More and more 32" TVs will now be at the £400 mark... From my experience if you can afford the extra £20 or £30 to get something that more people know about then you should do it! I've learned my lesson!!!!

Re: Scan LTV-3203H anyone got one?

My 32" Scan LTV-3203H LCD hdtv arrived the other day picked it up from the scan today only offer, supports 720p and is lovely to use as a second monitor.

Goes real nice with my 30" Dell 3007 WFP ( 2560 x 1600 res ) monitor

I thought people would like to know some info about it... Its a lovely bright monitor, ive yet to hook up the speakers on it since ive just connected it all to my pc system.

Using it as a pc monitor, the colours are clear, in games there is no bleeding and setting a custom resolution of 1366 x 768 on my pc produces a crystal clear picture.

In games the xbox 360 and ps2 both look stunning to what they were on before, the amount of inputs on this monitor is phenominal.

Im using hdmi for my pc input
vga for my 360
and component for my ps2

there are 2 scarts left over, and all the other typical television connections. I notice no ghosting and viewing angles are good. There is 1 tiny stuck pixel in top left corner.

Id HIGHLY recommend this monitor it is superb, much better than many £600 ones i have seen.

Here are some piccies, however i cannot sort out wires to be "proper" since im in halls of residence at the moment at first year of uni also these pics are fairly random and crappy but they show my nice new lcd :-

click on images for large resolution version

Re: Scan LTV-3203H anyone got one?

This is still on offer at Scan witha free HDMI DVD player all for just over £350.

I am now seriously considering to get this, can you tell me how the quality is for DVD, SD TV and games.

How does this TV compare to your other monitor/hdtv's?

Final question, is the garantee 3 years or 1 year?

Thanks.

Re: Scan LTV-3203H anyone got one?

Do you know if this will do 1:1 over VGA as well as HDMI?
Any chance of another close up shot of the windows desktop showing the icons?

Cheers

Re: Scan LTV-3203H anyone got one?

I've got this same TV. Got it half a week ago.

I've not been able to get the 1:1 pixels working with VGA . I would like to know how? if any one knows? I've set the res to 1366 x 768 and played around with the clock settings on the TV but I get blurry pixels every few pixels across the screen. Up and down seems fine but. It's like if you set the wrong Res on a PC LCD monitor. I've not bought a DVI to HDMI cable yet so don't know if I will have same issue? Will this give me 1:1?? I have a nvidia 6800GS graphics card on PC. I would perfur to use Video input instead of HDMI for my PC as I want to use the HDMI port for my HD cable TV some time in the future.

Some info on my TV for you .

Get hissing noise from speakers. Even if I have volume to low. Ended up plugging PC speakers into Headphone socket for my sound.

1 dead black pixel half way down the screen, but not a problem.
Only one HDMI input. Means I'll have to end up buying a switcher box. They are mega expensive I found .
Inputs share the same Audio inputs. Means I'll have get a Audio switcher. Bit like the one on boxrick's picture I guess.
TV does not seem to auto switch between... if TV program is in wide screen or just normal screen. Have to press the Zoom button to the correct ratio or I get short fat people :D.
2nd Scart is not RGB and get a poor picture with it. 1st Scart is better. Got my Digi Freeview box plugged into it. Not a too bad of a picture. Colours maybe not as good as a normal TV but almost there. Then again I say that about LCD TV's that cost £700 British pound.
I Not tried HD yet. So can not comment on that.

Funny thing I read in manual. Max lifetime of back light 50'000 hours. wow :D Let me get my calculator out. Say I have TV on 5 hours a day. That means the backlight will last 27 years How do they know these things?

So if any one can answer the 1:1 pixel problem? thanks a lot.

Re: Scan LTV-3203H anyone got one?

Hey guys could some one post a picture of the remote that comes with this tv please? I have just purchased one that came without a remote and am looking for a replacement I could use. Better still if someone could tell me a brand or remote that works with this TV that would be great!

Re: Scan LTV-3203H anyone got one?

Think a few other people had this problem of no remotes sent with TV. There is a picture in the PDF manual found here--> http://www.digimate.com.hk/user/ltv-...ual%20v1.0.pdf

Hope that helps.

Re: Scan LTV-3203H anyone got one?

Same TV is now £344.99 at Dabs.com. Not as good a deal as the Scan one which gave a free DVD player but still, this makes it the cheapest 32" HDTV in the country (from my knowledge).

Check out the bgrade stuff from time to time - saw a 80gb hd/dvd recorder for £50 there as well! I got that for that mcuh becasue was basically the TV only - but in honesty i can live without the remote and box for that much! and the manual I have been provided a link for!

Not tried a DVD.
Standard TV not bad with my digi box on Scart1. It's not progressive scan so you see the interlace lines on fast action programs like a football match.

Guarantee=
12 Months UCC
24 Months CUU

Re: Scan LTV-3203H anyone got one?

received tv today and my god did i get a bargain! was fully boxed with remote instructions cables EVERYTHING all for £230 delivered! One question though.......the svideo should not be in black and white should it? How do I make it colour - could it be the cable I am using? I hooked up to a Samsung HD860 dvd player - was fine using composite.

Digimate Ltv-3203h

Me not tried with a DVD player in the S-Video port, but I did try with an old Dreamcast games machine. Worked, with full colour. Also tried it in PAL and NTSC and both fine.
Can not help with your problem.

What sort of warranty do you get with B grade TV?

Also do you just use a universal remote?

Dude, you got an awesome deal, if there is any kind of warrenty card, register it straight away.

So how is the picture quality etc. Try camparing to a £400 set (if you compare to the price you paid £230, it will look like dimonds, if you know what i mean).

Could be the cable, some are wired differently, are you trying to go svideo to svideo or something else?
