Hi there people, this is my first thread so sorry if anything is wrong! Ok here i go

I shall be getting my Sharp Aquos Aquos 37" Widescreen LCD (LC37XD1E)

Ive heard from a friend of mine, that it does not have direct component input instead it comes with a converter to VGA. What shall this mean in terms of picture quality?? Iam i going to loose any, iam sure that i wont get 1080p as the component cables dont support this. However shall i still recieve 1080i??

an some please post an image of what the converter looks like!

Another question i have is with my PC. I am currently running a geforce fx5500. Iam waiting for my quad core system with Twin 8800's to come. Which is gona be a mouth!!! Would my PC for now be able to support DVI - HDMI. The graphics card does have a DVI port!

If it does can someone please give me links to cheap DVI - HDMI cables, but one with good quality, but not dear!!

Also does the TV have picture in picture??

And finally lol, can anybody post images of the TV, menu systems, with an Xbox 360 connected, PC Connected. Connection views of the TV, MOST IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!

The TV only supports 1080p via HDMI.
You should get 1080i over component. Your friend is correct, there is no direct component port.
I am 95% sure it doesnt have PIP.
If you look in the XD1E thread there are pics of various different XD1Es, Im pretty sure there are some 37" pics there.

they got me all excited and i'm waiting for mine to be delivered..

So does this mean for the time being that i am going to have to replace each vga connecter whilst iam playing. E.g. when i wnat to play on the 360, i have to take the PC's vga out, vice-verser. Or could i obtain a VGA splitter. Shall this decrease the picture quality. And another thing can a geforce fx5500, support DVI - HDMI cable???????
