Hi guys first post here:)

I was wondering if anyone knows if this TV is any good seeing as the price is very low compared to others with similar specs?

27" Mirai T27004 HDTV

Resolution 1280 x 720
Image Contrast Ratio 900:1
Brightness 550 cd/m2
Pixel Response Time 8 ms
1 x DVI-HDCP ( 24 PIN Digital DVI )
1 x VGA input ( 15 PIN HD D-Sub (HD-15) )
1 x component video input ( RCA phono x 3 )
1 x composite video/audio input ( RCA phono x 3 )
1 x S-Video input ( 4 PIN mini-DIN )
2 x SCART ( 21 PIN SCART )

For roughly £500 from a couple of retailers?

I primarily want it for my Xbox 360 and as a PC monitor for games etc. Not too bothered about a HDMI input as I don't have sky+ and I don't watch that much TV anyway (who would when you can play GRAW online:smashin:).

It has a 2 year warranty from the manufacturer and by the end of that I will have bought something bigger and better for sure.

So if anyone could advise me if its ok for what I want or has one and can offer an opinion then I would be most grateful as it will be my first LCD screen.

Thanks, BerruccI.

I am looking at this tv for the exact same use.

for the 360 and computer games. did you buy it, and how was it

does it do 1:1 mapping?

regards

Rite i might be able to help here, I bought this from Novatech, but the cheapest place for this TV is Savastore as far as i can see!

But Novatech do a 2 Year Collect & Return Warranty and you can get your money back upto 28 or 48 days after purchase, not sure which is is tho, i would say 28 days!

For the price i paid for this TV which was £499 at the time, the quality with my 360 through component is amazing and also using it as my laptop screen through a VGA cable!

Here are some pics for you of the TV in my photobucket album

Its not cheaper the Mirai is cheaper at just over £400!

Dont wait around if you want it for the Xbox 360 or a PC monitor as its a great TV!

I bought one of these for the bedroom 2 weeks ago.
Excellent picture and a nice smart look about it.

Checked out Mirai, it's actually a new company created by Tiawan's biggest electronics firm, it's called re-birth or something to that effect.
They releasing these cheap to get into the market.

yeah - they are part of chi-mei http://www.cmo.com.tw/cmo/english/product/product_03.jsp who are one of the top 3 LCD panel manufacturers... they recently displayed a 56inch LCD with the worlds largest resolution.

I am quite interested in this TV as a potential for use with the xbox but I need to know if I can get 1:1 pixel mapping on the pC input.

Also, it appears that this TV has been shipped with different panels... earlier ones were 1280by720 Super MVA, the newer are 1366by768 VAextreme... the newer panels have better response rates and contrast.

Do you happen to have a manual for your TV and does it mention the panels native resolution and PC input options?

Might actually go with one of these myself, they do look like good value.

Anyone any idea what SD TV looks like on it? (sky in particular)

Hi,

I bought one of these TV's a few weeks back. Pretty impressed with the picture quality and the numerous inputs. However the sound quality isn't the best (sounds a bit tinny).

I was wondering if anyone could help provide any info or recommendations for an external amp and speakers? I'm a novice when it comes to amps and speakers so any help would be appreciated.

What connector will be used on the TV?

I also have a DVD recorder and an XBOX (not 360) I would like to connect.

I just need a very simple setup on a relatively cheap budget (up to £150 or cheaper :)

Sorry if this post is in the wrong place

Thanks

Has anyone tried using this set with the PS3 and as a PC monitor??
