I wonder if this is an ex-diplay or returned set? The store no longer has the same department so I suppose the answer will be to find a JVC specialist. I doubt if the extended warranty will cover it.
Assuming that whoever covers the warranty is still around, it's certainly worth a try. They won't have any way of knowing how it was caused and it could just be a normal fault, so you should contact them and just say that the HDMI inputs aren't working and leave the rest to them.

Its a best first option, I will give it a try. PS3 is fine through component but without HDMI may suffer disc restrictions later. Fantastic tv otherwise.

Re: The JVC LT-26DX7 and LT-32DX7 thread

To update, I decided to let a reputable local Panasonic/JVC specialist have a look and he found the problem to be a missing foam cover, at a light source near the HDMI ports if I understand correctly. Either missing since new or opened & lost before I got it. I suspect the latter - maybe a set returned for "repair" because of the Sky HDMI problem? Anyhow I will never know and have asked for the part to be fitted. HDMI now working with a temporary repair (black stick tape).

No signal recorded from LT-32DX7 when it's switched off

Not sure what's changed with my LT-32DX7/JVC PVR setup but switching off the JVC, when recording from the internal Freeview tuner, causes the JVC to blank the recording. I set the Pioneer recording & it records the program up to the point of switching off the JVC. They're connected using Scart from Ext2.

Any ideas?

Re: The JVC LT-26DX7 and LT-32DX7 thread

Does anyone know the three or four digit code for setting up a Sky+ (HD) remote control with a LT-26DX7 ? Want to get the volume control etc to work with the LT-26DX7.

I've tried all of the JVC codes I can find on various web pages and none work as yet. If anyone has actually had success making this work, I'd love to know which code you used. Thanks.

I can answer my own question (see above):

The code is 0053 when using a Sky+ HD remote.

JVC LT-26DX7BJ slow to change digital channels

We've had our JVC LT-26DX7BJ for a number of years and are generally very pleased with it - although this is because we usually use it in conjunction with a Humax 9200 PVR, and use the latter as the digital tuner 'front end' when watching live TV.

On it's own, the JVC works fine in analogue mode but when switched to digital/Freeview it often takes ages to change channels (eg 30 seconds). I regularly retune it in case this is a factor, but when it becomes sluggish like this usually the only answer is to hold down the two button simultaneously as per the user guide solution for frozen digital pictures. This is almost a daily operation!

Can anyone suggest a fix for this problem please as it is becoming really irksome! By the way, we appear to have update v.2.3 and as far as I know the set has never received an OTA update.

Many thanks,

V

My mum and dad had the same problem with theirs. They got it from John Lewis and had a five year warranty with it. My dad called John Lewis and they came and had a look at the tv and said it needed reparing. They took the tv away but couldn't fix the problem so gave my mum and dad a lovely new panasonic as a replacement.
