Samsung 46ES6800 Release Date? And reviews?

Hi All

After much deliberation i THINK ive decided to go for the Sammy 46ES6800!
I have only 2 questions please:

1 - What is the release date?
2 - Has anyone reviewed the set yet?

Thanks in advance

From what I've read I'd like to go for the 32" for another room in the house, so I'd be interested in this range too.

supposedly dealers will have them next week...hopefully the 55" version too.

think i'm going for the 55". had my fingers burnt last year with the HX923 sony so have decided (after getting money back) to never spend >1500 on a edge lit TV again (even though sony was full array). had been looking at the es8k or es7k from samsung but the threads on here still seem to show issues coming up so my mind is made up, i only need a half decent tv for a couple of years till OLED prices come down and the ES6800 range fits the bill nicely in terms of reasonable spec and decent price point.

Any idea what the difference is between the ES6710 and the ES6800?

I've heard from a friend of mine that we're talking last week of this month. Someone might have them in before that but he reckons they won't realistically be making it into warehouses and onto shop floors til maybe the 20-somethingth

On the issue of flaws with the 7s and 8s we don't really have the full picture yet. We're a very small sample group and there are almost as many people happy with the set as not currently. Time will tell as always. Either way though the 6 series is a bargain by any standard. Always has been agreat bang for your buck series. Just the right price point and almost the same as it's bigger brothers.

I'm currently starting the saving for an Xmas 2014/15 Oled myself. Can not wait

Amazon says next week for the 6710

Amazon ue32es6710

I bought the d6530, I'm going to return it for a refund ('cos of no full def 3D), and get this methinks - as long as no major issues are found.

One of the ES8000 threads has a link to a spreadsheet with all the details of the various models. Personally I don't see the need to pay for the 7/8000 ranges - all you get is a more advanced micro dimming, and the web cam thingy.

AFAIK, the lower ES 6 series is only single core processor, while the higher (67xx/68xx) have dual core. Hopefully dual core will make the whole "smart" experience.

The spreadsheet is the second link in this post: Samsung ue46es7000

There are a couple of benefits of the 7 over the 6 but it depends on what you want. The faster processor and better microdimming might be very appealing to some folks. I've seen the 8 and 7 side by side. The dimming on the 8 was better but not better enough to make me want to buy it instead of a 7. The menus etc were also more responsive but when watching movies they both looked really good. The 8's better dimming didn't make it worth it over the 7 but that's a personal thing. Unless the dimming on the 6 is quite poor people are in for a treat. You get an awful lot of 6 series screen for your money.

Thanks everyone

Any reviews anywhere yet?
I understand the set will be (supposedly) launched tomorrow and in shops during the week.

Anyone know if that's the case?

I'm thinking of buying from Hi Spek, anyone have any experience with them?

Cheers

I saw today in mall 6800.

Bezzel looks thicker than D6530, to me unatractive since it's black+silver(or glass?)

Also it does NOT have Ultra Clear Panel, and neither other models any besides ES7000&8000 have it. Since I don't need 3D & Smart function I think I'll be ordering D6530.

Just my thoughts.

Just bought one of these today. (Well ordered and payed for)
Was told stock would arrive on 24th but they were selling fast. I was told that the best way was to purchase now to get in the queue.

only thing that's bugging me if I should maybe take d6530, is the matte display, so if you could comment on that on,e how does it seem? I mean, they left glossy on top premium models... Post a few pics of it + new remote when you can.

Thanks mate!

But oh no!! That bezel is much wider than I'd thought it would be
I knew it was wider than the 7 and 8 series but thought it'd be thinner than it looks.

Can't wait for your impressions still

Ue32es6800

Ordered mine today. Wanted the best 32inch tv at a reasonable price for the bedroom. Won't pay more than £700 for a tv think it is unnecessary and this ticks the boxes in terms of design, features and price. Wonder when delivery will be since apparently seller is still waiting for supplier...

Hi Anavan.

Samsung UE32ES6800 32'' Series 6 Full HD 3D Smart LED TV | electricshop.com

Just spoke with customer service lady and she spoke with the buying department and said they are ordering from supplier today, she said she would give me a ring later today once she has had confirmation that the order has gone through. I will update you further when I hear back...

Haven't used Electricshop before but reviews looked fine and used the creditcard just in case...

My supplier got stock today and posted mine. I will be getting delivery on Friday. I have seen similar dates and times with other suppliers recently.
