Kind of agree, I know that I will never use it and really don't want to pay for it. If I want these apps I'll get them on my Ipad, PS3, Xbox 360 or laptop. Complete waste of time and money.

Agreed, why do we need them on our TV, realistically how many people are going to buy TV's that DON'T have at least 1 other machine that has access to all these apps and more?

I do want a Cinema 3D screen though, just for the 3D. Passive 3D looks amazing and doesn't hurt my eyes.

I want one with a much bigger bezel than this one though

I like the style and smokey chrome look, IMO this range looks a class of its own. I hope the sound quality is improved or at least has not suffered.

I would like to see this range in the flesh, however.

Well done LG.

Is there a picture from the 60" version? Has the 60LM640 the same CINEMA SCREEN Design with small bezel or not?

The 60LM640 does NOT have cinema screen bezel, see updated spec sheet

The list is not final and there is also no picture from the 60" version. So how it looks?
But why a different design in the same Series? And why no 60" with small bezel for Europe (compare the look of a typical American interior to an typical European interior and you know who really cares about good design...)? It makes no sense. Samsung can do it, why not LG? In the CES video the LG guy said they copied Samsung´s bezelless design because of lot attraction by consumers and now there is no real passive 3D flagship (sorry 55" is way too small for 3D) in 60" or 65". The 84" is too expensive. I like 3D, but i want it flickerfree and active is not an option. In the German Hifi-Forum many people wait for a 60"+ passive 3D-TV option and the 60" LM960 like last years 60" LW980S (there was a mass order for the LW980S, the most canceled it, as it was final, that no 60" was coming). For such an big TV the design is much more important than a smaller one, because the screen dominate the room, so also for WAF it´s a real dealbreaker if you only have the option for cheap looking glossy black TV with fat bezel? Why LG doing this?

Any news on this set at all, release dates, prices? Or more importantly who is going to stock it if anyone?
I've got a credit note for my returned 550T burning a hole and this seems to fit the bill, no wifi, no magic remote, don't need dual core etc

Just a simple set, that's all i need.

Any word yet on pricing/availability for these sets yet?
I'd rather wait for this than the 620 due the slimline bezel.

The 47" fits my need, I love the LM series bezel, but don't need all the capabilities of the higher end LM.

Other than concern that this set might be launched with no discount next to 6mth plus LM's at more attractive summer sale prices, my biggest ponder is if this set will inheret the issues of the existing 2012 LM series?

Looking forward to the launch, AVF review and potentially some more immediate insight from LG Dave..?

hi Dave, by "Next Month" do you mean July? Hope so as I don't like the silver bezel and the LM660T is no longer being sold in the UK.

Google suggests it is available in the UK, and at a very good price, lowest I have found for he 47LM660t is £929. What led you to believe its no longer sold in the UK?

This does highlight my posted concern that a 47LM640t may be about the same cost. Perhaps the 660t bought today comes dogged with the issues raised by this forum and the 640t will not.

Dave, any update on the release and any response to the above ponders?

Update please Dave :-)

Actionhp you beat me to it.

Dave suggested a launch as next month, so potentially he meant August?

Dave if you can respond I'd also appreciate clarification on my other points regarding cost given the 660t price position well below launch price. Also that this model does not suffer the issues faced by the range with respect to the 24fps issue.

Thanks.

The bezel on this looks wider than the 660/670T, but not as wide as the 620T. Am I right or are my eyes tricking me?

If it is the ultra thin one then I will have a look at this too, IF, LG have managed to iron out a few of the other models issues!

£999 at currys.

Just noticed,47lm640t on currys/dixons site.
£999,cw magic remote but still more expensive than you can pick up a 660.

Well spotted John,

Quite right it does seem bananas to get a higher spec for a lower price, but I guess it will even out eventually.
Meanwhile, the 670 comes with a free 3D camcorder...(hmmm, do I need another camcorder...?)

;-)

Hi everyone. First time poster here. I have just put down a deposit on the 42" version of this model after being told Harvey Norman couldn't get the LM670T at the moment. The only difference I could see was the €200 and no magic remote. Does anyone know any different? Can't wait to pick it up but I'm also looking for advice on Smart as I am using US unblock and am hoping to have US netflix, American channel apps and also BBC iplayer. I am in Ireland by the way. Thanks

**EDIT** I've noticed that it is not LED Plus (will this be a big difference?) and also it is "Wifi-Ready" although conflicting sites - LG site says LAN (for modem) and Wi-Fi Ready / Built-in - Yes - (Set - built in). Im assuming therefore it is not wi-fi but will I need to buy a dongle or will it have a wired LAN port? - thanks again

I have the 32lm6200. What are the difference between these models? Is it just cosmetic?

noticed the Currys advert last night for the 47" at £799.

Does anyone have one? Opinions?

Just concerned this TV will be plagued by the same issues in the rest of the LM series.

Smile Lg lm640t

Hi

Hope this helps, we got the 640t today have gotta say it's awesome. The picture quality and 3D is great and it comes with 4 pairs of glasses. This version also has wifi and the smart TV component is actually quite good and has a lot of content. Currys have it for £800 at the mo, which is good value compared to other places. If energy costs and greenness means anything to you, it only uses 63watts so is very power efficient. If you're got 3D blurays or a ps3 you won't be disappointed!
