Yeah, me too. Having had this for a couple of weeks now I'm very satisfied.

I'm not a pro or "videophile" as I'm sure many are on here, but the reason this TV is a winner for me is the convenience of the lightweight passive glasses for the family.

I even ordered some small kid's glasses for our young daughter which is infinitely preferable to what would have been a heavy set of active shutter ones (she didn't even want to wear the adult passive ones).

The TV looks stunning on the wall. Performance-wise, I can't say I've noticed any particular problem with bleeding/banding, but like I say, probably not the best person to ask.

I did find that I needed to run the Picture Wizard to improve the settings - it basically shows a series of squares inside each other of different shades of blue etc and you have to adjust things until it matches the 'recommended' image. Whatever the TV defaults where, they didn't match and needed adjusting. This paragraph will probably make more sense once you run this wizard!

I've gone through a number of TVs, from a Pioneer plasma from 2006, more recently a Sony Bravia LCD, a Phillips LCD, but this is definitely the best TV I have come across...

...which it should be, for the price I had to pay for it out here in Istanbul, which was higher than the UK.

I just bought the LM760T from Curry's a week ago, for £1599.
I'm chuffed to bits with it .... except for the fact that it keeps turning itself off and back on again!
I've checked all the power-saving setting etc and turned them all off, so it should only auto turn off now if it has no input signal for a period of time. But, in the middle of a film it'll 'reboot'
We got 3 other LG TV's (26" 32" 42") and none have had any problems at all.
Having looked on Google, it seems this is a fairly common thing with LG

Anyone else experience this??

Have you turned off automatic standby, this will turn the tv off after 4 hours
automaticliy if set to on.

Yep, done that. I would be suspicious of that not working properly if it was every 4 hours it did it but it'll be half hour or 5 mins etc.
It doesnt just turn off and stay off either, it'll turn back on again within a second, as if it's 'rebooting' (in PC speak!)

With all settings as they are, it should only be turning off if there is no input signal but this is clearly not the case.
It'll be going back next weekend. It's the inconvenience of it that p's me off!

Try turning off automatic updates, see if that works.

Has anyone confirmed the lag on this set yet? if it's as bad as the 960 then I'm absolutely not looking at LG any further (150ms is a bad joke).

well the Flatpanels test showed that Input lag was measured to 30-40 ms in the game mode settings, which is in the high end. but still playable and still WAY lower then the 960v shows.

I emailed their customer services about this only to receive a short response ". As far as we are aware of there should be no lag issues when playing games consoles on this model."

I have emailed then back to expand on this as I am sure they would have done product testing. I will await and see what they say.

I have the 670T 42" and do not encounter any lag in game mode, I play mariokarts on line on the Wii, and C.O.D Black ops on the xbox, both very fast games, had no problems, don't know if there is much difference, between the 670T and the 760T.

Thanks Jono

I'm stuck between this and the Samsung 55 inch ES7000 which looked like it had fantastic blacks when I viewed it at the weekend. Decisions, decisions. I don't really care about the 3D, nor do I need gimmicks but I do want a much better picture than me 3 year old LCD with nice blacks (i.e. the black bars aren't grey, as they currently are).

The choice is yous Emjay, Samsung has its own problems, back light bleed
clouding etc, as I said i don't have any clouding or backlight bleed, even when I stand side on and look across the screen i can't see any leds shining through, some people have reported seeing a strip of leds down the side of the samsungs when viewed from side on.

It's a really tough choice Jono, I'm really worried about the reflectiveness of this set vs the almost Matte finish on my current 3 year old LCD. Then there's the comment by Quagmire earlier up this thread about the Xbox 360 looking terrible, given that the 360 is my game machine of choice that also has me incredibly worried, I've not seen any video game footage from this set yet. Can you make a video if you have a 360? or take some photos.

Which comment was this? I am thinking of going back into currys on Thursday and asking them to rig up an xbox 360 to it so I can test it out myself. Theres no way I am parting with £1600 on the basis of a salesman saying "erm no I dont think theres any issues that I am aware of with gaming lag".

I think it was in the LM670 thread actually (keep getting confused), but the two sets are fairly identical with the only real exception being the motion index. Definitely worth testing in store, I was hoping someone would to be honest.

The price of what currys/pc world are charging to have this tv exclusive to them....they better show me the xbox running. I am going to take my own xbox with me just incase then I am going to try and haggle hard with them to see if they will discount the price a bit lower. Will post on here how I get on.

Hehe I love the background conversation of where to chuck the grenade. So Jono did you find much lag when playing Call of Duty or is the TV responsive enough to warrant the money?
I have to say that the only thing that would stop me from buying this is gaming lag. I thought the 3D technology of the TV itself along with the almost complete frameless design was stunning.

Tv very responsive I can't detect any lag, same with the Wii mariokarts no lag, can't speak for the 760 ,but the 670 has no lag ,and 24P works fine on this model.

Have you tried the same 24p footage/movies that are showing problems on the 960?

Seems to be that the 760, 670, 669, 660 and 620 are ok with settings sorted, though I'm increasingly thinking I will go for a 55" Panasonic Et5,

decent review on here, 5 year Panasonic warranty, Panasonic build quality, just not the cinema screen minimal bezel, I can live with that considering my Pioneer probably has a 3"bezel

Nice one...cheers for the heads up Stevie. Looks like a web exclusive! So the TV drops by £200 for the 47inch and also comes with a free 3d blu ray player as well as the £10 for every goal that England scores.....thats pretty good!
