le40m87bd problems

Afternoon all.

I'm having a problem with my Samsung 40" LCD le40m87bd.

When you hit the standby button to turn it on, it clicks a few times, and eventually turns itself on.

This has only started in the last week, and today it's particularly bad.

A quick bit of googling reckons it's the power pack that's at fault?

Can any of you back up/confirm this, and if so, can you point me in the direction of replacement parts, if they are available, or a decent AV engineer that could sort the problem for me?

Cheers

Doug

Read this thread, especially the last couple of pages...there's a chance you may get the set repaired free by Samsung or an authorised service centre.

Good News:

It's being fixed for free, the "engineers" have just been out.

Bad News:

As it'll apparently need some sort of software update, they've taken it away, and will being it back in a few days.
