TV which will play avi/divx via USB

I'm in the market for a new 40 - 42" inch LCD.

I would however want it to play avi/divx files from a USB hard drive or flash drive.

I know the 42" Scarlet LG at around £700 have the option but are there any others I should consider.

Budget upto £1000 (more at a push).

By the way, I'm not interested in attaching my computer to the TV.

I've just bought a Toshiba 46xv635d from digital direct it's a great tv for the £849 i paid for it also comes with a 3 year warranty and it plays divx

well put a divx and xvid and any other vedio type and tell us what it will play

your b554 will play hd movie content as well as sd from the usb port if you enable it in the service menu. i did the service menu hack in comet the other day then tried my 1080p movie from my usb (i went prepared). However, it depends on your firmware i believe. There is an excellent thread regarding this on this forum
