Get your LGs out for the lads!

Hello all,

As we all know LG stuff is generally, how do I put it...pleasing on the eye and, in recent years at least, there has been some more than acceptable quality coming in too (I speak from a TV viewers point of view).

So, after the relative success of the "Get your plasmas out for the lads" thread I thought I'd set up an 'LG exclusive' one.

So, get some pictures and things up here and we can have some banter! The pics attatched are from my 32PG6000, the set up itself is nothing special (literally just a TV on an old desk with a PS3 in front of it) as it's just in my bedroom but here's some pics of Iron Man on blu-ray which was rather impressive!

P.S. sorry for dodgy quality photos, they don't do the TV justice! and the line which you can see in some of them is a reflection from a gap in the curtains...

Well it's a 2008 model i'm afraid but here's my 50PG7000 set up with my PS3 (amongst a million other peripherals!!)

Haven't got round to sorting the cables out and i'll be getting it on the wall this weekend hopefully!

Ikkyo, where in the menu is the THX logo? is it in a preset or one of LG's AV modes maybe? could you post some pics of the menu with the THX stuff for us all please?! great pics, I soooooo want the first three Star Wars movies
on Blu-ray!!! Come on George, just a simple transfer of the originals pleeeeeese!!

Again...completely pointless because pictures show up completely differently on everyones screens and the photos aren't good but...

10,000 BC on my 32PG6000, not the best movie in the world but not bad picture wise, unfortunately these pictures are either too blue, shiny, bright, liney (if that's a word!) or generally off colour, you can take a slight peek at my messy and un-impressive set up in the last picture too! The camera also produces random green dots...on top of the already poor quality

How would you rate the black levels on this set as I am leaning towards one of these over the 42X10

Blacks look very black to me, not grey like on an LCD.

The black levels on the PQ3000/6000 have been very similar to the X10 Panasonic plasmas from what I've seen comparing the two, personally I think the LG has a slightly better picture, probably largely due to the extensive expert picture controls which the Panasonics lack

Just bought a 42PQ60 I will take some pics in a within a week as I need to route some network and aerial cables. But the pic quality in the shop looked superb next to the LG lcd, pany x10 and last years samsung plasma.

Here you go Monarch. I can see you are struggling. I've tried to get some perspective of the size but it still looks small in the photos. The silver one next to it is a 42" for some sort of reference.
