Re: The JVC LT-26DX7 and LT-32DX7 thread

Got my LT-32DX7 yesterday after returning a faulty panny LXD60. Well happier with the JVC, picture and features are 100% better.

Does anyone know the sky remote code for the DX7..? I've tried 0053 and all the other 3 digit ones for JVC. My sky remote is Rev 4.

Thanks.....

Re: The JVC LT-26DX7 and LT-32DX7 thread

Can anyone tell me if there is a set of cheap-ish speakers (just 2 or 2.1) that I can connect directly to the TV to improve the sound?

I don't currently have the funds to invest in a proper av reciever setup.

This is a question about the flashing power light.
Mine has been flashing for over a week now. Nothing I can do will stop it flashing. I don't have an aerial attached & have never used the Digital tuner. Is this a problem with the set, should I be thinking about sending it back?
I would appreciate some help.
Thanks,
LA

They're on the "Tech Specs" section of the JVC website:

32"
TV only 800 x 545 x 133.5
With tabletop stand 800 x 591.9 x 244.4

26"
TV only 672 x 471 x 133.5
With tabletop stand 672 x 517.9 x 244.4

Most of the things that make the light flash relate to the timer. Check that you haven't inadvertently set one of the digital record timers.

I had the same problem a couple of months ago (see earlier on this thread!). It was really annoying and very distracting when watching programmes.

I solved it however by turning the light off altogether (Menu, Features, Power Lamp) and just using the Illumination (soft setting) to effectively act as a power lamp.

In view of your post, I tried switching the power lamp back on tonight and curiously it seems to have stopped flashing now - but I suspect it won't be long before it starts again so I turned it off again!

However, it would be good I guess if some knowledgeable person could tell us exactly what the flashing indicates.

Hi, how does the LT-32DX7 compare with the Sony KDL-32S2010?

I was in Comet the other day and the Sony looked better than the Tosh WLT66 and Panny LXD600.

I currently have a 28" JVC CRT telly and the PQ is great but it's showing it's age now. 3 lines have developed on top of the screen:

I know this is not the case because as I have no aerial input I cannot tune any digital channels & therefore am physically unable to set any timers.

This is why I am scratching my head so much as to why this is happening.

Surely,
someone can explain exactly why this is happening.
TIA,
LA
