Best value Blu-Ray laptop

I'm thinking about getting a Blu-Ray laptop, as it's the newest film format now and I'd like to be able to watch Blu-Rays on the move.

What's the best value Blu-Ray laptop at the moment in terms of features/performance for the price?

I've heard that 16.4" screens are good but I don't want to spend over £700.

Yeah, the sammys are pretty good. I have a Sony but this is a good spec for the price. One thing to watch for is resolution as some aren't full hd (1920x1080 or in this case since the screens on laptops are 16:10 they are 1920x1200). This one is.

Just picked up the Samsung R610 a few hours ago. Seems like a spot on machine, although one of the first things I've noticed is that there's a lot of light seepage (maybe there's a more technical term for that?) at the bottom of the screen - only noticeable when there's a black bar along the bottom when playing movies.

Blu-Ray on a screen smaller than 32" is no different to DVD. Waste of time and money, Blu-Ray on laptops at the moment for some strange reason are the buzz thing but unless it’s a Blu-Ray recorder (95% of them are not) what’s the point? Most folk are on a budget so the cost of this silly drive mean the rest of the speck for your money is compromised.

Processer, graphics and HDD are far more important than a drive that can show a high definition film on a screen size you will not benefit from or tell the difference, mainly because the laptop will not be powerful enough to run the film properly.

I know they need a powerful CPU and graphics card - at least a Dual Core and one of the HD graphics cards.

I thought the same thing...til I saw it working. There's a noticeable difference when compared with a standard DVD.
