Sorry for whats probably a daft question.

I've got all eight ribbons for the first stage medic. So now unlocked "healing packs". To get the next eight medic medal, is it still just a case of riving 5x for each ribbon? or do the Healing packs need to get involved?

What do these little sacks do anyhows?

Just currently seem to be tossing them around willy nilly!

Yeah, heal 5 people and you get a ribbon.

Best thing to do is throw them around the battle area, like on S&D games around the targets and hope that an injured team mate runs over it.

When you have the pack enabled you can see the health of teammates above their heads, but I don't recommend chasing after injured ones as you end up feeling like benny hill.

That made me chuckle, visions of a medic running round at triple speed, to the benny hill theme tune, scratching his head every now and then.

or if you're using the headset, you can always communicate with players and tell them to stand still while you heal them

They never listen though, it goes something like

Mr Y : 'Mr x, stand still a min while I give you a medi pack'

Mr X : ' huh? what? you mean me? Oh I'm dead'

I got this last night. After having a search around to see what they do, I found out that,

a) They heal the enemy if you throw it near them
b) You can heal yourself by throwing it in front of you and running over it

And I think b counts towards the medi pack ribbon, not entirely sure?

IMO you can easily get ribbons for medi pack, just keep throwing them at people

I honestly dont think anybody knows what a medi pack is until they get them, I wouldnt have noticed anyone throwing them at me before lol.

I have to admit I had no idea there were healing packs in the game until I unlocked the secondary medic ability. It's a nice and easy ribbon to get though unlike those horrible search and destroy ones.

The problem with medi packs is they are almost invisible when laying on the floor. This is why they are best dropped in doorways or highly used pathways.

Very helpful chart on ranks and special abilities etc.

You can also go into Warzone on killzone, goto your stats. Go across by pressing R1 or R2 (cant remember what the tabs called?) and it'll give you a list of ranks and medals telling you what does what and how many points you need etc.
