Truely this is a versus thread and a fair question, its FPS versus FPS.
Killzone is nothing like COD4 or 5, in the sense of realism. COD truely does try to give a realistic simulation - its so good because its so real and the graphics are realistic. Killzone is not like this; first off the walk/run and aim is much slower than COD. Next, you'll notice the aim is quite poor on many of the starter guns.
Yes there are many weapons to earn, similar idea to many FPS games. You can only carry 2. The weapons have different abilities. But the guns are totally different. You need to paly to see. You'll develop a different gaming strategy.
Talking of strategy, thats a bonus of KZ2. Theres plenty of mission types and often requiring you to work as a team. There are gun turrets and other things to consider. The maps are huge too.
Tip; when new, your weapons are poor. Get up close to take people down, then aiming is less of an issue. Peeps seem to stand there and take it, unlike the more aware players on cod; maybe its because the controls are so sluggish on KZ2. KZ is a different game and not meant to be a simulation - enjoy it for what it is... its FUN
